SNL is set up on September, 2000. We continue to extend advanced facilities for research in semiconductor and nano-materials science. Up to now, the work has been quite smooth. It is supported by National Science Council of Taiwan, the Center for Micro-Nano Technology Research of NCKU, and the Department of MSE at NCKU. SNL also establishes global research partnerships for the duration. These resources are sufficient to support basic needs of all research.

    SNL members all possess own professional knowledge. And Professor Liu guides us to the knowledge of TEM and abilities of preparing samples. Furthermore, some specific members also understand working theorem and operating ability about TEM, SEM, AFM, and other analysis instruments.

    The successes of projects, relying on the cooperation of research partnerships, make our laboratory to be possessed of nano-technologies. Ion Beam Sputter (IBS), Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE), Nano Imprinting Lithography (NIL), and Electron Beam Lithography (EBL) are applied to these research; moreover, we combine the atomic-scaled resolution image analysis ( HRTEM and AFM ) with fabrication technologies in nano-materials science.
